The issue is not whether Donny Dhump has the authority to remove a U.S. Attorney; the issue is why Dhump is motivated to remove a U.S. Attorney. In view of what we know from watching this repulsive asshole for nearly 41 months, the motive is obstruction of justice at least 99 percent of the time. Dhump never fires anyone for corruption or incompetence.

There are three kinds of people in this country:

• People who were expecting a substantial increase in the number of new COVID-19 cases because they believed public health officials who warned us that would be the result of premature reopening
• People who didn't expect the increase because they trusted the leaders of their federal and state governments who minimized the risky consequences of reopening
• People who still believe the COVID-19 crisis is a hoax perpetrated by enemies of Donny Dhump, and will refuse to accept reality until they're on their deathbeds 

At Real Clear Politics, the Dhump approval rating in their poll average is 42.1 percent (against 55.6 percent disapproval). At FiveThirtyEight, it's even worse: 40.6 percent (against 56.1 percent disapproval).
