Turd Reich in Texas

Greg Abutt has decided he can tell the Extreme Court "GFY" and ignore the ruling which affirms federal authority in regulating border control. That sounds like the kind of deal that a cockroach like Slick Rick Perry would want to be in on. Maybe those two dipshits can be fitted for their red armbands with the black swastikas on them, now that the waste of shit (aka Mister Out 83 Mil) is making Nazi fashions cool among MAGA Maggots like Abutt and Perrito (who, along with Kenny Boy Paxton, enjoy making Texas look like the worst of the Red State Shitholes - down there with Alabama and Mississippi).

Speaking of Mister Out 83 Mil, he's encouraging MAGA states to send armed forces to the border to start an armed conflict with the federal government? Did I read that right?

Killin' Time

Here's one sign that this Christmas week is leaving me slightly disoriented: I almost forgot that Texas A&M is playing in a bowl game this season, and that the game will be against Oklahoma State tonight on one of the ESPN channels. I suppose I'll watch it as long as the Aggies are ahead or as long as they're no more than ten points behind. To be honest, things around the A&M football program are slightly messy now as a result of the coaching change, so I'm not expecting much.

Haven't had time to follow politics much today, but Microsoft insists on sending a newsletter to my email inbox every day. I usually trash it without examining the content, but one of the headlines today grabbed my attention because it seemed like good news. It's an article at Huffington Post about a poll indicating voters realize that Donald Doody wants a second term to establish a dictatorship and get revenge against his enemies (almost everybody).

Mondazed Notes 18 December

As I do every Monday morning, I went to USA Today online to work one of their weekly free crossword puzzles. Before I could open the Entertainment section, I saw a blurb in Top Headlines that said something like Trump supporters reject concerns he would be "dictator" if reelected.

That stirred my curiosity, so when I finished the puzzle, I skimmed the news story. All  I got from what I read was confirmation that Donny Dripshit's fan club members are hopelessly ignorant. There have been recent media reports that if Hitler's old speeches were translated into English, they would read pretty much the same as the fascist threats Dripshit has been making on Truth Social and at his rallies. Some Dripshit fans interpret this as their guy joking around as he often does. Others were happy he'd use his power to do things they want done. None of those interviewed seemed to sense that a fascist dictator who is also a depraved sociopath could be a problem for them as well as decent normal people.

Some positive signs @ Washington Monthly re: right-wing losing the culture wars.
