He Hereby Orders...

Maybe the biggest problem with right-wing evangelical assholes talking about Donny Stink Eye as the second coming of God is that he thinks it's true.

If ignorance, incompetence, depravity and corruption could be measured by the ounce, Stink Eye would weigh about 4 tons.

Added 1:03 PM Monday 26 August: Maybe I'll start referring to the asshole by the nickname "I. Herbie Order."

Our Destiny

Donny Squats & Shits predicts economic collapse if he loses in 2020. I predict economic chaos and collapse if the motherfucker wins, so the game's still tied, since both of us have equal ability to foresee the future.

Before the Dark Age of Donny Drizzle, it was believed there were seven deadly sins. Now we know there are at least 30, and he commits at least 28 of them every day. Lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride ? Hell, he can knock those off before he takes his morning crap.

Oh boy, a parade...

How much tax revenue are we gonna piss away on this fucking dog-and-pony show? I guess Donnie Potatoes wants to be like his godfather Vladimir.

Added Wednesday 2:26 PM  Donnie was thinking about this parade shit early last year, but nothing came of it. Supposedly, he got stoked up on the idea again after his  trip to France. God knows, when military supremacy comes up in conversation, the French are the first ones we think of.

Fun with Numbers, Christmas Edition

Republicans know that many of their voters ended their educations in high school, and don't understand any math more complex than first-grade arithmetic. That's why they're making a big deal out of the number 1,610. That's the average dollar amount of the income tax cuts effective in 2018, according to GOP con artists. All those Billy Bobs and Molly Sues in Red State America are already planning how they'll piss away their windfalls at Walmart.

A closer look at the numbers behind the other numbers:
  • People with incomes of 1,000,000-plus will receive an average cut of 69,660.00 annually.
  • People with incomes between 50,000 and 75,000 will receive an average cut of 870.00 annually.
The millionaires get an average tax reduction of about 3.3 percent, and the middle class gets an average reduction of 1.6 percent. Even better, it's possible that middle class taxpayers will see their tax cuts swallowed up by increased health insurance expenses. When that axe falls, I hope it falls hardest on people who voted for Donnie Dribble and congressional Republicans.

Unpunished Corruption

It's too bad the bribery that goes on in Congress can't be prosecuted as a felony. We already knew Nasty Man would make out like a bandit under the Tax Freedom for Billionaires bill, but he's not the only one. Corker sold his vote for a nice piece of the action, too. Digby at Hullabaloo clarifies that since Corker's wealth is only about 50 million bucks, he's obviously needs a special helping hand. Maybe this story will be in the headlines from the day Corker votes until he leaves the Senate, especially in Tennessee, and especially when the race to replace him gets serious.

It's unfortunate for the country, but there's no such thing as a good Republican anymore, at least there aren't any who hold elected office at the state or federal level. Every time I think a good one has finally appeared, I end up disappointed again.

Senator John Corndog of Texas explains that bribing U.S. Senators by cramming tax breaks that benefit them personally into a bill is called cobbling together 51 votes.

Update Monday 10:04 AM: If little Bobby Corker has an ounce of integrity, he'll refuse to vote for the TF4B bill. Same goes for Collins and Flake. Are there three decent Republicans left in Congress? We'll have the answer soon.

Geniuses at work

Mitch McConnell? Fucked up the Tax Freedom for Trump bill in the Senate? That can't be right, can it? I guess it can be.

Meanwhile, Donnie Doolittle's tendency to make self-incriminating statements verbally or on Twitter is the Internet topic of the day.

A mistake as teeny as Donald's weenie

Reading List

Alternet: Mainstream Republican Bruce Bartlett explains why the GOP needs to die. This interview is worth reading.

Washington Monthly: A confession in plain sight

Update 7:22 PM Sunday: Wouldn't it be totally fuckin' awesome if there were six Republicans in the Senate who decided they couldn't vote for any Tax Care for Billionaires legislation?

How bad is it?

The way we know Republican legislation is totally bogus? Even Fox News is heaping on the scorn and ridicule.

Roy Moore, who can't survive without a government paycheck, is the latest Republican with a dirty mind to be exposed. Fortunately for him, Roy is running in Alabama, so the accusations against him probably won't make any difference. Hell, about 70 percent of the Republican men in that shit hole probably envy him.

Evangelical lunatics can always find something in the holy book that will excuse whatever sins they commit.

Infrastructure

These are the things that are constant in the Republican Party's political agenda:
  • Tax cuts, primarily for the wealthiest taxpayers to get the tickle-down effect
  • Deregulation, because corporations will always do the right things without government rules
  • Privatization, because turning operation of essential public services over to private profit enterprises always results in better service at less cost
  • School choice, because religious indoctrination isn't allowed in public schools
  • Increased defense spending, because it's an efficient method of transferring public tax revenue to the private sector
  • Tort reform, because eliminating corporate accountability produces lots of high-paying jobs and lower costs for consumers
  • Reducing or eliminating social safety net services and functions, because they're fairly sure most of the people receiving benefits aren't Republican voters, so why waste money on them?
This is basically everything the GOP has been offering as an agenda for nearly 40 years. They keep recycling the same stuff year after year while pretending to be innovative by changing the labels and some of the terminology.

PS: Sometimes those meaningless symbolic gestures that Republicans love just look like the manifestation of psychosis instead.

Tax-free and loving it

You show me a voter who says,"I voted for Donald Trump last time, and I'm voting for him again next time" -- and I'll show you a fucking idiot. As a candidate, Cornholio promised them they were voting for a precedent (sic) who would be exactly like the character he played on a TV show. And they fell for it.

The great Cornholio released his long-awaited tax plan (single-page version) this week, and virtually every key feature will personally enrich the so-called precedent (sic) and his rotten spawn. There's an unexpected bombshell for the headlines, right?

One Hundred Days

The great Cornholio needs Congress to pass a budget bill, repeal Obamacare, and fund his border wall fantasy. And he needs it by Friday.

The reply to Cornholio should be delivered loudly and clearly: Nobody gives a fuck what you need. Not in 100 days, not in 100 years.

Cornholio and Beauregard are a pair of fools. There's no reason to believe anything either one says. Mexico's reply to this shit spill about being financially responsible for Cornholio's wall should be entertaining. The last one was.

Booming

The estimated cost of each Tomahawk missile is 832,000 dollars, and the cost of one Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) is 16,000,000 dollars. The total amount we spent to blow stuff up this week was roughly 65,100,000 dollars. I'm not sure what we have to show for it.

Update 3:00 PM Sunday 16 April: Some good news today. There are now reports that the per-unit cost of one MOAB is probably closer to $170,000 than $16,000,000.

Does anybody actually know how much money we really need to protect the country?

Wasted Money

According to an article by Peggy Fikac in the City/State section of today's Houston Chronicle, Texas taxpayers have been billed more than 3.3 million dollars for travel expenses accumulated by Rick Perry's security detail during his frequent trips out-of-state (most of which have been directly or indirectly connected to his presidential ambitions).

This is what is commonly referred to as pissing money down a rathole.

Default

Another poll confirms something we already knew: Republicans overall are crazier than shit house rats. Eventually, those motherfuckers need to be busted, and maybe we're getting closer to that.

Retreat

How fan-fucking-tastic is Gov. Bobby Jindal's tax plan for Louisiana? Well, it's so fantastic that Grover Norquist was orgasmic over it. I've learned that anything Grover supports is definitely bad news, so the Jindal Retreat being reported now is GOOD news.

News Digest 25 September

There's a lot of interesting political news today.

The National Journal has an analysis of the current state of the race by Charlie Cook.

The Washington Post reports new polls showing Obama ahead in Florida and Ohio.

Republicans can't tolerate the idea that a majority of Americans (a) don't care much for them, or (b) hate their guts. Their self-esteem is based on a sick fantasy that every time they state an opinion, they're speaking for the American people. The polls that show the despised Obama ahead of Willard are driving them crazy, and now they realize that it's all a big conspiracy by the liberal media. So one enterprising RWer has devised a method for recalibrating polls to reflect the huge Romney leads that actually exist in reality.

Still another poll indicates that Willard's support among old geezers is fading.

Finally, a lot of things aren't adding up for Willard these days, including his plan to revise the tax system to accomplish some pie-in-the-sky economic recovery.

Po' Folk

Willard (Look at me, I'm rich) Romney says that "middle income" is, oh, around 250,000 dollars a year. Goddamn it, I've been thinking of myself as middle income all these years, and now I find out I'm just poor white trash.

Fox Gas

According to Fox News, rising gasoline prices at this moment are all Obama's fault. Most Republicans are either directly involved in pushing this line of bullshit, or believe it devoutly. Fortunately, we have ways of looking back a few years, to 2008, when gasoline prices were also soaring, there was an election on the horizon, and George W. Bush was in the White House. Back then, under those conditions, Fox News was saying gas prices were in no way attributable to the administration because presidents have NO CONTROL over them.

I hope that a special place in Hell is being reserved for the gang at Fox News.

KEY FACT

Dedicated to Jim Ferguson. If you don't know who Jim Ferguson is, you (a) haven't seen The Missouri Breaks, or (b) have an inadequate ability to fully assimilate movie trivia.
