 So far this week has been a jumble of good stuff and not so good stuff.

• Because he never reaches the lowest depths, Don Old is now involved in a fresh scam that we could have seen coming. He's selling "Make America Pray Again" bibles (the only ones he personally endorses) for $60.00 apiece online. In Don Old's world, gullible right-wing evangelunatics are a key source of endless EZ money. 
• By the way, these special bibles include copies of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance. So, making Americans pray again is an accurate description of the product's purpose.
  
• Marilyn Lands, the Democratic candidate, won a House seat in the Alabama legislature in a special election landslide on the strength of her abortion-rights position. 
• Texas AG Kenny Paxton escaped impeachment, and has now made a deal that will let him avoid being tried as a felon. This is some of the not so good stuff. 
• He's the last organism on earth that should be trying to do it, but now he's comparing himself to Jesus. Sick, sick, sick.
• Remember the name Nick Fuentes and what he's advocating. He and those who follow him deserve annihilation before they attain the level of power they're after.
• Don Old Demented Dookiebird is pitching another boring truth (not) social (not) temper tantrums, this time in a feeble assault against NBC for shoving Ronna McDaniel out the door less than a week after escorting her in. The Demented Dookiebird's eruption proves that cutting McDaniel loose was the wisest move for the network.

MAGA Monkeys like the trash at CPAC last week are constantly using the term "woke" as a reference to what they consider the worst crisis facing the nation, but most of them cannot explain the meaning of "woke" in any way that makes sense. An article at Daily Kos is able to clarify the woke controversy as well as anything else I've read. Recommended, and here's a hint: Being woke requires traits that MAGA Monkeys lack, and leads to their resentment. As a rule, being "woke" and being a MAGA Monkey are mutually exclusive conditions.

The waste of shit must be in some kind of panic mode, since he's gradually losing the support of Rupert Murdoch. Now he's pandering to the christian (sic) nationalism crowd. These people are just as dangerous as the neo-Nazi militia groups, and probably even more dangerous because evil is identified more easily among people who love Hitler than among people who claim to love Jesus. Make no mistake, though. A christian (sic) nationalist dictatorship would be just as terrible as the Nazi kind. This guy, Tony Perkins, is the precedent (sic) of a right-wing religious lunatic organization called the Family Research Council. To show just what a depraved lunatic he really is, consider that in a recent interview he said this:

 "These are challenging times" Perkins said. "The policies that are coming out of this (Biden) administration are literally from the pit of hell."

This is nonsense, spewing from the mouth of an asshole who probably believes Former Guy was personally selected by god himself, even if he hasn't said so out loud. Knowing that millions of idiots who think like this are allowed to vote makes it hard to be optimistic about the future of the United States.

Four years of Porky Prick in the White House is as close to god punishing America as anything I can imagine.

Update 12:42 AM Sunday: Evidently, RepubliQAns are stuck between a rock and a hard place when it comes to Former Guy. They stayed faithful to the s.o.b. too long, and now they can't separate themselves from him without admitting decent people were right about Porky from day one.

I'm liberal enough to think people are free to believe any damned foolishness they want to believe when it comes to religion, as long as they stay out of my face with it. But personally, I'm getting sick and tired of these evangelical lunatics, their devotion to Donnie Uranus, and their crap about the end of the world.

End Time

One of the three most important things to remember about Donnie Dump is that without the devoted adoration of conservative evangelical Christians, his so-called presidency would already be nearing an end, because his support among remaining GOP voters would be far below the level needed for his survival. 

Believe me, some of the scariest places in the world to visit are the minds of the craziest religious lunatics in America, who are helping to keep the fat bastard afloat.

How bad is it?

The way we know Republican legislation is totally bogus? Even Fox News is heaping on the scorn and ridicule.

Roy Moore, who can't survive without a government paycheck, is the latest Republican with a dirty mind to be exposed. Fortunately for him, Roy is running in Alabama, so the accusations against him probably won't make any difference. Hell, about 70 percent of the Republican men in that shit hole probably envy him.

Another massacre, this time in Texas. The usual right-wing lunatics attribute this one to an attack by liberals on religious people. There's another line of so-called thought that when all those people were being wasted, their prayers to be delivered from evil were being answered by Jesus.

Whatever floats your boat, I guess. Personally, it doesn't work for me.

Update 11:49 AM Tuesday 7 November: Add Pablo to the list of true believers. Again, we see that religion appeals to people who need easy answers to hard questions.

Epidemic of insanity

There are probably several million people in the United States who actually believe that catastrophic hurricanes are god's way of punishing the country for allowing gay people to live here. The same people actually believe god chose Donny Johnny to straighten things out (MAGA), and that's why they all voted for him.

As long as these morons are allowed to vote, we'll never be able to have nice things.
