Cheese

The Cheese Prince has laid out the conditions under which he will deign to rule the House of Representatives. This should be entertaining.

The more I think about it, we may be better off in the long run if we let the hardcore right-wing assholes in Congress continue their binge of destruction until an overwhelming majority of voters are puking at the sight of Conservatives Gone Wild.

If I was placing a bet, I'd wager that the so-called establishment Republicans will be around long after the Freedom Caucus types have been expunged. The 'establishment' is what 'conservatives' were until Barack Obama was elected, and the scum of society created the radical Republicanism that's stinking up America like a diaper full of shit today.

The dumb fucks can't get it through their thick skulls that most American voters, probably around 75 percent, are nowhere near as radical as they are.

Added 3:03 PM: The Cheese Prince will either geld this gang of forty maniacs (excellent outcome) or he'll go back to just being the guy who represents a conservative district in Wisconsin (okay too). I sense a can't lose proposition here.

Keep hope alive.

Pablo (Cheese Prince) Ryan says Republicans can still totally repeal the ACA. I say they can't, at least not until sometime after January 2017, and maybe not even then. By the time Obamacare can be repealed by veto-proof Republican majorities, who knows how entrenched the ACA will be. But let the cheese dick keep running his mouth. It'll keep the nose-pickers in the tea party happy.

Ryan and Rand

I was watching MSNBC tonight and saw an excellent segment on "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell." The topic was Rep. Paul Ryan's famous devotion to novelist Ayn Rand, which included claiming that she was the influence that guided the development of his political philosophy. In fact, when Ryan first started attracting attention with his budget plan, it became chic among the tea geezers to make references to John Galt and Atlas Shrugged. At the time, Ryan was a congressman from a podunk district in Wisconsin, and most people didn't know who he was or give a fuck about his crush on Ayn Rand.

Lawrence O'Donnell devoted the segment tonight to an overview of Ayn Rand's philosophy, using an interview she did ca. 1967 with Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show. Turns out that Ayn Rand was an atheist of Russian descent who did not believe the family was a fundamentally significant social unit, but did believe that women had total freedom of choice when it came to abortion. She was also against the Vietnam war, which she described as useless and unnecessary. Now that Paul Ryan is running for VP, he's trying to lie his way out of all his previous positions on the importance of Ayn Rand. I guess he's as big a pussy as Willard when it comes to standing up for his beliefs. This is getting interesting...

Career days

Republicans are always saying that government doesn't create jobs. Oh really? I guess they've never heard of Rick Perry and Paul Ryan.

Blips

As I read the blog coverage of Romney's veep selection, I had one of those fantasy blips that occur now and then, maybe a side effect of brain surgery: If Romney wins in November, will the Republicans in the House initiate impeachment proceedings against him next year so that Ryan can replace him ? Something Mitt should think about.

William Kristol of PNAC and The Weekly Standard is alleged to be the architect of the Palin selection in 2008, and strongly urged Romney to pick Ryan. Motherfucker has a lousy track record, and needs to find a new hobby.

KEY FACT

Dedicated to Jim Ferguson. If you don't know who Jim Ferguson is, you (a) haven't seen The Missouri Breaks, or (b) have an inadequate ability to fully assimilate movie trivia.
