Q NOTES # 830: Hearing Hearings 5

Let's put it this way: I don't hate Ivankie as much as I hate her rotten old man and two of her brothers, but there's nothing about her that's interesting or appealing either. Overall, I'm willing to consider that she might have been truthful when she testified under oath as a witness in her committee deposition (that she believed Booger Bill when he said Hopalong Hairdo's election fraud accusations were bullshit). I can also believe she might have toed daddy's line when she was chatting for the cameras of a documentary filmmaker in her role as a show biz celebrity. In her world, lying on camera is fine, even expected, except when it's literally punishable by law.

Among some news media personalities, the theory is being floated that charging Hopalong Hairdo with crimes is a dangerous move because it would infuriate his deplorable base and push them too far. This shit is not helpful.

Q NOTES # 817: Choosing Ignorance over Information

After watching almost every minute of the House Select Committee hearing on MSNBC last night, I have to say that www.electoral-vote.com has provided an excellent review of the matters that were covered, and what it all means. The site also features a handy summary of the Trumplickan reactions as presented by hardcore right-wing propaganda media like Fox News, Newsmax, etc. It's helpful to know what the mental defectives and bottom feeders who are still subservient to D. Evil 45 are being told, without having to watch it personally. It's hard to decide who's worse: the gutter trash shoveling the Trumplickan bullshit, or the misfits gobbling it up.

Added 5:33 PM same day: The early ratings numbers are being reported, and in terms of viewership, it was a damned blowout. ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN were watched by roughly 18.3 million people in all, while the D. Evil 45 suckathon on Fox News was  seen by maybe three million. Things will get interesting  if word of mouth results in more people watching the remaining hearings in June.

KEY FACT

Dedicated to Jim Ferguson. If you don't know who Jim Ferguson is, you (a) haven't seen The Missouri Breaks, or (b) have an inadequate ability to fully assimilate movie trivia.
