Let's Vote.

There's not much good news being reported today, and there won't be as long as The Blob, Moscow Mitch, Booger Barr, and their followers in Washington are allowed to roam around freely, saying and doing all kinds of stupid, evil shit.

When there is some good news, we can be pretty sure that it's coming from Madam Speaker and the (D) caucus in Congress.

What's next, Nancy?

The comments by many Democrats on various liberal websites are discouraging at times, and indicate a ridiculous level of impatience with the current situation. Since the Democrats won a House majority last November, I've been feeling generally optimistic about the ability of the United States to drag itself away from the toxic waste dump of Donny Stink Eye and his party. Until proven otherwise, I'm remaining confident that Madam Speaker understands what's at stake and is working out the steps that need to be taken to win the long game. People should understand that Madam Speaker, Robert Mueller, and others must walk a straight, narrow line requiring cautious forward motion.

There's nothing Stink Eye needs (and wants) more right now than immediate impeachment by the House with no supporting investigation, followed by immediate Senate acquittal. That's HIS winning move.

Added 9:45 AM Thursday 30 May: Apparently, Stink Eye has realized the Democrats in the House aren't going to deliver what he wants (premature painless impeachment vote).  He's not taking it well.

Electability, Madam Speaker, etc.

No More Mister Nice Blog has a post that I thought was interesting. It discusses some reasons why devoting your support to the presidential candidate who looks most electable early in the game may not be the smartest move you can make.

Speaking of other blogs at blogspot.com, The Rude Pundit is often worth a look (if really naughty language doesn't offend you).

DAILY KOS: James Clapper says Stink Eye needed Russian interference to win. Keep hammering this point every day, since it's one of those things that gets Donny worked into a frenzy.

I've reached the conclusion that Madam Speaker knows what she's doing, and I'm not joining any Democrats who think she doesn't.
