Those screams we're hearing this morning are the millions of Republicans reacting to the House vote yesterday passing the compromise health care reform bill. The Tea Party contingent is particularly incensed because they convinced themselves they were powerful enough to prevent passage, bringing that N down in the process. A few of the more radical teapeople are even making threats about civil war. I don't know about that, but if a civil war comes, I want to be on the side that has the machine guns, tanks, and field artillery.
Now I suppose the next step is getting the health care issue before the U.S. Supreme Court. I have no idea how long that'll take, but I know it's coming. From the conservative point of view, what's the sense of having a USSC if you can't use it to get the president you want or get rid of laws you don't like ? But if you think the screaming is loud now, you haven't heard anything compared to the racket that would follow a SC ruling that the HCR bill is constitutional. My prediction is that Roberts, Alito, Scalia, and Thomas will deliver again to save the country from a commie takeover.
