Bowl games
For various reasons, I haven't gotten around to watching as many bowl games as I expected to. I saw as much as I could stand of the Independence Bowl, and parts of the Sun Bowl (Oklahoma vs Stanford), Cotton Bowl (Okie State vs Ole Miss), and a few others. The BCS national championship game is Thursday night, and I'm still deliberating whether to watch that one. I can't stomach the thought of seeing Texas U. catch the usual assorted lucky breaks and winning the game. Something about the sight of jubilant longhorn fans depresses me. On the other hand, Alabama might be capable of pounding Colt McCoy until blood and snot flow from his nose, which would be entertaining. It's a tough call, and fortunately I don't have to decide this morning.
