The congressional crisis over the national debt ceiling has ended and sanity has prevailed. In the House, the Biden bill passed 314-117 (with 165 Democrats and 149 Republicans in favor). In the Senate, the bill passed 63-36 (with 44 Democrats, 2 independents, and 17 Republicans in favor). The MAGA Monkey votes against the bill were 71 in the House and 31 in the Senate, and included nearly all of the usual suspects.
I read something at Palmer Report this morning about the incompetence of the MAGA Monkey party, which can be traced back to the 2016 election. The waste of shit had decided to begin his political career in the position at the very top of the hierarchy. He was lazy, ignorant and inexperienced, in addition to being corrupt and mentally unstable. Totally unprepared to be president, with severe ego problems, he filled the executive branch with loyal followers and avoided selecting anyone who might outshine him.
Dumpy Doolittle should never have survived the 2016 primaries, but he did. It's generally accepted as fact that anything he touches turns to shit, and under his leadership the (R) party has largely been dragged down to his level. The current MAGA Monkey base consists mostly of goobers who not only won't demand capable leadership but prefer being entertained by clowns.
Added 4:00 PM: Let's get real here. When it comes to committing crimes and breaking all the rules, the waste of shit is a serial killer and Mike Pence is some guy who spit on the sidewalk.
