(D)ebate Number 2

If I didn't watch last night's debate, there was no way I'd watch one featuring Joe Biden and non-Democrat Bernie Sanders. Reading the online blog coverage of tonight's dog-and-pony show, my impression is that Kamala Harris was the star performer. Added to the positive reviews earned by Warren and Castro on Wednesday, I'm relieved that the candidates who interest me personally are showing well at this early stage in the process.

PS added 2:46 PM Friday: I'm beginning to contemplate the potential appeal of Kamala Harris and Julian Castro leading the Democrats against Donny Stink Eye next year, which makes this piece @ Washington Monthly particularly interesting to me.

(D)ebate Number 1

I didn't have enough energy to watch the first of numerous Democratic debates tonight, but someone at Daily Kos did. I was happy to read that Liz Warren did as well as expected, and Julian Castro did much better than expected.

PS added 12:05 AM: After checking the other liberal websites, there seems to be consensus that Julian Castro was one of the winners tonight.

PPS added 12:59 PM Thursday: Read still more (D)ebate reviews, and I really like the idea that Liz Warren could move into the space now filled by non-Democrat Bernie.

Hopefully, authoritative histories of Donny Stink Eye's single term will be written in the next 2-3 years. Chapters will be devoted to this question: How was it possible that virtually every member of Stink Eye's so-called "administration" was a filthy piece of shit, a rotten sociopath, a corrupt grifter, etc?
