Day Three: Common Sense

The AG received Robert Mueller's report on Friday, and is expected to send a condensed "highlight reel" version to Congress today. This preliminary move by Barr will probably be a feint to test the resolve of House Democrats.

The Mueller investigation has almost certainly churned up several tons of bad news for Donnie Plop. Use a little common sense here:
  • Some of Donnie Plop's co-conspirators (Devin Nunes, Jason Chaffetz, Jim Jordan) are all over the Sunday news shows, arguing that the report is tainted for various reasons. If the report exonerated Donnie, this would not be happening.
  • Let it be emphasized: Any report that clears Donnie is released to the public in 48 hours or less.
  • It would not have taken nearly two years of intense investigation to produce a report that says Donnie is as pure as driven snow.
  • The circumstantial evidence alone is enough to establish a quid pro quo arrangement between Donnie and the Russian government.
  • I've lost count of the number of jurisdictions that are continuing to process referrals that were handed off by the SCO. Most of the serious financial crimes are still being investigated by federal or state authorities.
  • Disciples of Donnie have spent two years telling us he can't be indicted because he's a sitting so-called precedent (sic). Now they're telling us he's innocent because Mueller didn't indict him. Get fucking real.
Added 3:51 PM: As usual, Digby @ Hullabaloo has some commentary worth reading on the topics of collusion with Russia and why so many lies were told about it.
