I've spent more time fretting about football lately than trying to keep up with the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. Nothing has changed since October: Donnie Trump is still behaving like a sociopath, and he's still the most popular choice among the party's assholes. How can this phenomenon be explained? Well, I think I've found an explanation that makes as much sense as any of the others at Alternet.
