Union busters
Jeb Bush and Newt Gingrich have offered this editorial in the LA Times. As could be expected, these two are selling the idea that nearly all the financial problems states are experiencing can be blamed on public employee unions and sweet retirement plans they force on state governments. Since I'm a retired state employee who was never a union member, this commentary was of interest to me. The main conclusion I draw from it is that under no circumstances should Jeb Bush or Newt Gingrich ever be elected to public office again.
