One of these is not like the other.

Conservatives in the media and in Congress are warning incoming House Democrats not to impeach Donnie Nacho, based on the GOP experience after they impeached Bill Clinton. I agree that impeaching Donnie should be considered only after the numerous current investigations and legal actions are complete, and not until then.

But there's something else to think about, too. Republicans essentially impeached Clinton for lying about his extramarital affair with a young woman who worked around the office. How many American men thought about that, and imagined themselves in the same situation? If Donnie Nacho is ever impeached, it definitely won't be for doing things a typical American man could picture himself doing.

If Republicans want to draw parallels, Donnie Nacho's case will be more like Tricky Dick Nixon's than Bill Clinton's, and Republicans will be the ones making the tough call.
