Since I was up early anyway, I decided to get my voting finished at the beginning of the day instead of the end. I was curious about the effect of the new voter ID requirements on the process -- would it slow things down or create other hassles ? As it turned out, no one asked to see any ID other than my voter registration card, and I was in and out of the polling place in less than eight minutes.
