Some Republicans are disgusting, some are pathetic, and many of them are both disgusting and pathetic. When it comes to making excuses for Don Cornholio, the Republicans who are both are showing up for the cameras and microphones, and their excuse is that when the so-called precedent brags about abusing his authority or obstructs an investigation, he shouldn't be taken seriously because (a) he's just kidding around, or (b) that's just the way he talks, or (c) people are making too much out of it because they're against him to begin with.
When Donnie talked to the FBI Director about ending the investigation of Mike Flynn, he was just joking... you know, making conversation like ordinary guys always do. That's why people love him, see?
